The OU is looking to recruit an experienced Apprenticeships Administrator. The role is temporary and is to start on Monday 17th July 2017 until the end of September 2017. It pays £9.84 per hour.

Duties:
To provide administrative and clerical support to the department

To manage day to day activities with minimal supervision

Deal with telephone enquiries from both internal and external customers

Any other duties to support the smooth running of apprenticeship administration, as requested by Line Manager

Create and maintain accurate records

Co-operate with the Open University in ensuring as far as is necessary, that Statutory Requirements, Codes of Practice, University Policies and Departmental Health and Safety arrangements are complied with.

Person Specification:
Education:
GCSEs, or equivalent, including English and Maths at grade C or above

Knowledge work and other relevant experience:
Experience of working in an office environment as part of a team.

Experience of using customer relationship management software, the internet, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience of working in a customer focused environment

Experience of handling documents of a confidential or valuable nature.

Skills and Competencies:
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and adapt to change
Ability to handle large volumes of work which may be of a repetitive nature, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy

Flexible, adaptable with a professional approach to work and colleagues.

The ability to quickly absorb and apply complex policies and procedures.
