Are you an experienced administrator or have experience of working in Local Authority providing Business Support? Would you like to work with Local Government? If so, then you are the right person for us. Looking for work in or near Nottingham?
Reed Recruitment are delighted to work in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council in providing them with temporary ongoing Administrators & Business Support staff when they require staff for temporary job roles in Arnold..
Although these are initially temporary vacancies, many people do manage to secure Fixed Term or Permanent posts (Approximately 66% of candidates) during their temporary job role – though this is no guarantee.
The very nature of Nottinghamshire County Council jobs, in Administration and Business Support, is that they are varied and require you to fulfil tasks such as:
- Work to defined business standards to perform routine clerical tasks
- Making/taking telephone calls and responding to messages/emails and other correspondence
- Verifying, checking and documenting information through typing and photocopying whilst adhering to confidentiality and safeguarding requirements
- Assist in the preparation/organisation of meetings and events including booking venues, issuing invitations, relevant papers and taking minutes.
Due to the nature of these temporary ongoing assignments, you will receive some training but will generally be required to hit the ground running. Therefore applicants will need to have experience of the above administrative tasks in a recent job role, ideally in Local Government/Public Sector or another suitable organisation.
Nottinghamshire County Council generally recruit in West Bridgford for Full Time jobs (37 hours) but we do occasionally have part time jobs in Nottinghamshire too. Reed Recruitment work collaboratively with Nottinghamshire County Council to ensure that through the M-Star Framework, all pay rates for jobs have been agreed in advance in accordance with Notts’ County Council bandings. Pay rates vary for different jobs.
If your job application is successful you will be invited to register with us at our offices in central Nottingham, or a site closer depending on availability, to get you fully compliant to work for Reed.
Working as a temporary member of staff through Reed you will be paid weekly (a week in arrears), receive holiday pay in addition to your hourly rate, have access to a rewards scheme and pensions scheme, free eye test vouchers, and more. Once placed into a temporary job with the Council through Reed, you may have the opportunity to apply for suitable permanent vacancies advertised internally.
If the above sounds appealing, and you have the experience required for the position, we look forward to receiving your application.
