I am recruiting for a fantastic opportunity working as an administrator/receptionist as their first point of contact for a charity based in Wythenshawe who are looking for extra support.
You will be working with families of 0-5 year olds, so previous experience of working in early years or a school would be an advantage. My client works to provide the necessary health, development and support needs to families at the earliest point of need.
Three days / week – Tuesday – Thursday; flexibility required.
7.25hrs
8.30am - 4.15pm
£9.18 – 9.50/hour – depending on experience
Training given
Temporary role – 19.01.21 – 11.02.21
Enhanced DBS is a must.

Key Activities
Reception
- To provide or assist in providing telephone and reception arrangements which are welcoming to children, young people, families and visitors. This involves applying sensitive listening skills and providing a calm influence.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and deal with deliveries.
- Maintain Reception and waiting areas in a clean tidy and welcoming condition.
- Maintain a diary of events, meeting and the locations of staff as required.
Administration
- To develop and maintain records, both electronically and manually.
- Minute taking.
- Will be required to open and lock buildings and be a lone worker.
- To produce statistical reports as required including generating reports from the electronic registration system.
- Assist with documentation for any inspections.
- Update essential policies and guidance documentation.
- Prepare documentation and present information as required.
- Arrange appointments, meetings and take minutes when required including the circulation of minutes and associated papers.
- To provide general administrative support as required, including the opening and closing the building.
- Ensure payments are made as appropriate and deal with any queries arising if required.
- May be responsible for administering and reconciling petty cash floats as required.
- The ability to move furniture (Table and chairs in rooms).
Are you?
Experienced with;
- IT systems including the use of word, Excel and database systems.
- General office procedures.
- Dealing with external agencies.
- Data inputting, maintaining records and producing statistical reports.
- Telephone/reception duties.
Can you;
- Maintain strict confidentiality and work within data protection guidelines.
- Work effectively as a member of a team and on own initiative.
- Work in a thorough and systematic way, paying attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with staff, young people and visitors.
- Deal with interruptions for visitors, staff and young people.
- Prioritise own workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Travel: the ability to get from one centres to another on different days is essential.
- Communicate effectively and sensitively with Parents/carers children and professionals.
