1. Management of the Accounts Payable team
2. Ensuring that non purchase order accounts payable processes are operating efficiently and payments are efficiently and effectively made.
3.  Working with Procurement to develop and implement rules and systems to reduce Non PO invoice volumes and coding errors, including managing adherence to the rules by budget holders by talking to and training those not adhering to the rules and escalating as necessary.
4 Ensuring that all accounts payable transactions are appropriately authorised and documented with required backing information to support each transaction
5. Assisting the Financial Controller and AD Financial Accounting in the production of statistical returns and year end accounting tasks.
6. Supervising and co-ordinating the preparation of the monthly and annual reporting functions and deadlines, ensuring that tasks are delivered in accordance with required deadline, with all necessary financial adjustments, accruals and journals for the divisions being completed in an accurate and timely manner, to ensure that financial management information is complete, valid and correct.
7. Overseeing the processes for supplier faster/CHAPS payments and putting corrective measures in place to ensure invoices are paid via the normal route and trying to mitigate the need for emergency payments. Ensuring invoices are matched off against payments on account to avoid duplicate payments

As Accounts Paybale Manager you will work closely with the Finance Business Partners to ensure Divisional services are billed correctly and financial transactions are appropriately managed and controlled.
