Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts/Finance Manager for their company within the logistics industry. Their operation is spread over two sites in West and North London and includes such activities as freight forwarding, parcels, international removals and warehousing & distribution. Y ou will be responsible for the day to day running of the Accounts department and overseeing a small finance team.
Main responsibilities will entail:
The duties of this position encompass all aspects of our accounting operation including budget preparation, production and submission of management accounts, variance analysis, purchase and sales ledger management, payments to domestic and international partners and inter-company reconciliation, bank reconciliations, liaising with HMRC, liaising with auditors (internal and external), detailed cash flow analysis, VAT return, supervision of the payroll and balance sheet reconciliations.
Management experience is necessary along with strong organisational skills as the position requires the management of two accounting staff.
It should be noted that this position carries the appropriate degree of responsibility associated with a senior position and the incumbent must demonstrate the commitment and diligence required to successfully discharge the duties of the position.
