Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant and looking for a position that could start immediately?

Would you be interested in potentially being taken on permanently? If so this may be the opportunity you were looking for.

The role will be based in Cranbook Kent and will be for a desirable company.
Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm.

Daily responsibility for the following tasks:

Administration
 Processing orders on daily basis for each customer
 Preparation of delivery notes, pallet labels, ESN portals and booking of vehicles.
 Processing electronic data via integrated software including GXS, intellident console
 Inputting the figures in to the Gist and NFT portal to ensure all transport is available and correctly allocated to outloads

Sales ledger processing
 Collection of all signed delivery notes
 Monitoring deliveries out to invoices generated and follow up of queries
 Monitoring price changes and updating in sage line 50/portals as appropriate
 Ensure new product forms are correctly entered onto sage line 50 and GXS product database
 Processing sales invoicing into the accounts system
 Submission of invoices to customers via EDI system/portals as appropriate
 Matching remittances on accounting system
 Logging and monitoring GIST queries including escalations where applicable
 Filing and archiving of all relevant paperwork

Purchases ledger processing
 Match purchase orders and delivery notes with invoices ensuring all paperwork is correct
 Follow up of any discrepancies/outstanding orders
 Ensuring price discrepancies between purchase orders and purchase invoices are highlighted and discussed with procurement manager
 Distribution of invoices for authorisation as required
 Coding of all purchase invoices including nominal code and department
 Posting suppliers invoices onto system
 Filing and archiving of all relevant paperwork

Other duties
 Ad hoc queries both internal and external as they arise
 Assisting, when required, with the collation of agency weekly time sheets for submission to each agency
 Answering phone as third port of call in absence of receptionist
 Back up support for general office duties
