I am currently recruiting for an all round Accounts Assistant for a Bank based in the heart of London. This position is a 6 month contract with the potential of the role going permanent for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is looking for an all round role with exposure to management accounts. My client are ideally looking for someone who has come from either a Banking or Financial Services background.
Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
Processing of invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner
Review and process employee expense claims
Prepare and maintain accounts payable records and reports
Gather information for and prepare supporting documents for VAT reporting
Daily reporting on cash and fx positions to the Treasury Desk
Preparation of P&L reporting for Corporate Banking and Markets divisions
Assist the rest of the Finance team during busy periods and provide cover where required.
Assist with project work, where required.
Should have previous experience in a Finance/Accounting role. (3 years)
Excellent communication skills
Strong excel skills
Ability to work well in a small team.
SAP experience is a must.
Other key points
This role will be office based despite the fact that the Bank will be working one week in the office and one week from home.
40-50% of this role is accounts payable work, with the rest stated in the above responsibilities
Cover will be very important when it comes to holiday booking respecting Finance reporting deadlines and covering for the other colleagues.
