We are currently recruiting for an an exciting opportunity in Bradford for a fantastic company that retail and manufacture specialist products. They are looking for who a confident, experienced and trustworthy Accounts Assistant to join the company in a varied and satisfying role. Here are the details; 

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Ledger: matching invoices to delivery notes, price checking and updating stock values. Posting expense invoices and reconciling the purchase ledger
  • Sales Ledger: sending out statements, chasing overdue balances, posting payments, reconciling the sales ledger
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Dealing with supplier, customer and stakeholder finance queries
  • Assisting in Payroll
  • Helping prepare monthly management accounts and assisting the company Accountant with any other ad-hoc finance tasks required
  • General office administration

Requirements

  • Must have experience in using accounting software or ERP systems (Sage ideally)
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • A high level of attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Proficiency with IT, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary/Hours

  • £19,000 - £23,000 depending on experience
  • Full-time (10:00 - 18:00, Monday - Friday) or Part-time (10:00 - 17:00, Monday - Thursday, salary pro-rata) available
