Reed Accountancy are currently representing a fantastic Financial Services Company based in The City of London who are looking to bring on board an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Our client specialises in FX and has been operating since 1970 delivering their services to Individuals throughout the FX market. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and motivated Individual to join a growing, forward thinking organisation with the opportunity to further develop alongside an experienced, committed and established Manager. This role will suit an individual who is looking to for a 360 role to progress into the world of finance and has previous experience working with a fast paced environment.

Job Description

The role will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller working alongside a team of 2 and would suit a candidate who is looking to progress and further develop within their career. As apart the Accounts Assistant role you will be responsible for the day to day accounts and ensuring the timely delivery of set business objectives within the team. As an overview you will be responsible for:-
1. Profit & loss reconciliations
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. File management
4. Accounts payable
5. Supplier Account reconciliations
6. High volume invoice
7. Payment runs (Bacs)

Our client is offering £12.82 to £14.36 an hour

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be from an AAT with 2 years experience or a part qualified accountant with minimum of 1 year background and have experience working within a similar role, or seeking to transfer their skills as a progressive step forwards into this post. The successful candidate will possess an excellent eye for detail, a can do attitude and a willingness to deliver key business objectives in a timely fashion. In order to apply for this role you will need to ensure that you meet the below criteria:-

1. Sage 50

2. Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Vlook ups, Sum IFs, Formulas and Macros)

3. 2 year AAT or 1 years Part qualified ACCA or CIMA

4. Basic Treasury management and MS office applications knowledge

5. Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)

6. Punctual

7. Can do attitude
