Reed Accountancy are recruiting for a long standing business, who are in need of an experienced Accounts Assistant to cover a long term period of Maternity leave. You would be joining a vibrant and well organised accounts function, where a detailed handover would take place. 

You would be responsible for the following:

- Maintaining the Purchase Ledger - processing all invoices and reconciliations to control accounts
- Raise purchase orders as required, primarily for certain materials, following clear instructions and authorisation routes 
- Completing and filing purchase orders once received
- Providing support to the Business Production Manager
- Managing petty cash payments and reconciliation
- Contacting outstanding Debtors on an agreed time cycles
- Making sure all of the sales receipts are to the correct current account and promptly allocated
- Weekly sales notifications
- Archive finance information on a regular basis

You should have the following attributes -

- Act in a proactive manner and be professional and corteous at all times

This position is a Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of a permanent opportunity in the future and it would be full time, Monday to Friday.
