An opportunity has arisen in Woking for an Accounts Administrator. The role is offered as full time and permanent with a salary of £26,000 to £30,000 p/a. 

The role is 50% Payroll and 50% General Accounts

Role Responsibilities:


o Staff maintenance leavers, joiners, tax code changes, SMP, SPP, loans, pensions
o Correspond with HMRC re P45, P11 coding notices
o Calculate overtime, commissions
o Run the monthly payroll and generate bacs payments
o Prepare payroll journals and post to accounting system
o Manage monthly PAYE, NI, levy reconciliations, and submit returns to, and submit timely payments for same
o Payroll Year End on Sage and for HMRC and internal reports
o Track and process employee personal and credit card expenses
o Manage company pension scheme
o Reconcile and upload monthly pension contributions
o Compile, per templates, letters of employment, notice, increases, change in role
o Manage annual/sick leave, starters, leavers and role changes on People HR

General Accounts:

o Process supplier invoices and bacs settlements
o Process employee expense claims, check VAT calculations
o Reconcile supplier ledgers /creditors age analysis
o Update cashbooks from bank statements
o Process receipts/payments from cashbooks
o Bank reconciliations
o Process customer purchase orders and sales invoices and related credit control
o Process and reconcile sales deferrals
o Liaise with PSO to keep track of credits
o Accruals
o Prepayments
o Maintain Fixed asset registers
o Process intercompany recharges UK/USA/Jersey/AUS/NZ
o Intercompany account reconciliations
o Exchange gain and losses

Person Specification:

- Part Qualified (CIMA/ ACCA) or AAT qualified

- It is essential you have used Sage Payroll 

- It would be desirable if you have used Dynamics accounting software

- You must be flexible and adaptable

- You must have the ability to prioritise

- good verbal and written communication skills
