REED Harrogate are currently working alongside one of North Yorkshire's fastest growing food manufacturing firms in their recruitment for a Accounts Administrator. 

The client is flexible in terms of industry experience and seeking a for a pro-active and organised individual to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role will involve:
- Pay supplier invoices within agreed time frames and with the approval of the Managing Director.
- Support the payroll function in the administration of weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Issue delivery notes and invoices to customers.
- Consistently monitor and review debt levels ensuring outstanding debts are chased and management are kept updated.
- Deal with Sales and Purchase Ledger enquiries and payments in a timely manner.
- Set up new clients and suppliers on the relevant systems.
- Conduct a weekly reconciliation of every bank account and report any anomalies immediately to a Director.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Reconcile customer queries in relation to invoices issued or received, working closely with the sales team.
- Respond to and resolve customer, client and employee enquiries.
- Manage and maintain an accurate and logical filing system for documentation, this includes customer orders, delivery notes, invoices and statements.
- Responsible for keeping the company up to date with new legislation that relates to VAT, accounts and payroll.
- Provide support to the management team including the provision of any requested reports and statements.
- You will be expected to carry out all other duties as reasonably requested

The successful candidate will have a selection of the following skills:
- Previous experience of a similar role is desirable
- Good working knowledge of Sage
- Previous experience of working with accounts is essential
- Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Flexible and hands on approach to workload
