A fantastic opportunity has just arisen for an exprience accounts administrator within an indepedent property company. This is a great role for someone who has experience managing service charge accounts to month-end and also been working within the property sector for at least 2 years. You will be offered a competitive salary and have a great support system available. 


Preparation of Year-End Service Charge Accounts:

- Prepare reports and collect documents to be sent to external Accountants
- Enter all accruals and prepayments
- Enter Management Fees
- Tick all invoices against expenditure report, check if invoices correctly
charged to relevant properties
- Print all reports of income and expenditure, arrears b/fwd & c/fwd,
cashbook, creditors & debtors
- Prepare letter/check list to accountant
- Send full Accounts packages to external Accountants
- Investigate and reply to queries raised by accountant
- Sign off reports and send to property Directors for approval

Preparation of Annual Budgets:

- Set up spreadsheets for Block managers, check figures and categories
- Enter onto Chronos (Property Management software)
- Issue Applications for Payments to tenants
- Print annual property budgets & individual tenant budgets

All dealings with Companies House:

- Updating Confirmation Statements
- Updating Secretary & Directors’ Appointments
- Updating shares & terminations
- Occasionally filing property’s year-end accounts online

Other Duties Include:

• Bank statement reconciliations
• Raising periodic charges (rent /service charges)
• Raising interest charges on late payments
• Issuing demands where appropriate
• Recording deposits received and dealing with repayments as instructed.
• Raising management fee invoices
• Dealing with / responding to client and tenant / leaseholder enquiries by
telephone or correspondence
• Assistance with inputting supplier invoices onto database and paying suppliers
when required
• Assistance with monthly bank transfers as required
• Filing correspondence etc. as required
• Assisting Property Managers with their day to day financial queries
• Assisting the preparation of financial reports for Property Managers in respect of
Annual General Meetings or client meetings as required

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- A team player 
- Excellent written and verbal communicator 
- Have worked within the property sector for at least 1 year 
- Commercially astute and adept at thinking outside the box
- Able to deliver excellent customer service 
- Have worked in a similar role for the last year (Desirable)
