Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a reputable business within the electrical industry based in Co Antrim and are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.
The Role
Reporting to the Director and an external Accountant, this is a new role within the company and will involve the day to day management of the accounting function.
More specific duties will involve:
Management of the accounting function to Trial Balance
Management of the purchase ledger function
Supplier statement reconciliation
Query resolution
Accounts receivable and resolution of any queries
Credit control
Bank reconciliation (UK & ROI)
VAT Returns
Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for management
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Daily use of MS Excel to include Pivot Tables and V Lookup, as well as Sage software
The Person
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following criteria:
Excellent communication skills
Excellent IT skills – especially Excel & Sage software
A high degree of professional and commercial acumen
