Reed Accountancy have a fantastic opportunity to join a local and highly successful business as an Accounts Coordinator on a permanent, part time (3 days per week) basis.  The company are based to the West of Norwich city center and parking is available.  This company know how to create an inviting and cohesive workforce and have asked Reed to promote their team ethos which is collaborative working and a drive to be successful, benefitting all.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a range of finance duties and be either qualified by experience or hold an AAT qualification or equivalent, or working to AAT level 4 ideally.

Role responsibilities:

General:

  • Monthly department profit & loss reporting
  • Quarterly VAT online submissions
  • Liaising with the company accountants
  • Reports required at year end 
  • Posting year end journals/adjustments from Accountants and process year end

Purchase & sales ledger

  • Seeking approvals on invoices and coding to relevant projects/department
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Payment runs via online banking
  • Remittance advices
  • Entering payments received
  • Balancing inter-company accounts monthly (where applicable)

Credit Control & Banking

  • Chasing overdue payments
  • Sending out credit application forms for new clients
  • Responsibility for producing, maintaining and reviewing the Credit Control process
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit card and petty cash reconciliation

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • Would hold or be working towards AAT certificate or related accountancy qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Maintain an open attitude to change and new software packages / training that can improve the efficiency and functionality of the accounts department
