2018 START 

We have an exciting EXCLUSIVE position that has become available within our clients busy Finance department, working 37.5 hours per week.

Working within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, this varied role is responsible for:

All UK and International direct and indirect tax compliance;
Supporting the businesses international growth plans by advising on the tax implications of new projects in different jurisdictions;
Ownership of group Transfer Pricing documentation and polices;
Managing other HMRC reporting (Duty deferment file/Intrastat/EC sales etc.);
Continuously enhancing and developing the tax risk management and reporting procedures.


Tax Compliance
Ensure appropriate knowledge is maintained on direct and indirect tax compliance obligations around the globe and monitor compliance with these obligations on a regular basis.
Actively manage the preparation of the group’s UK and overseas branch Corporation tax returns and payments to minimise the reliance placed on our external tax advisory firm.
Manage the VAT return submission and payment process by reviewing the work of the Assistant Financial Accountant on the UK VAT returns and the VAT service centre on the foreign branch returns.
Tax Advisory
Support entry into new territories by seeking input from other stakeholders to prepare initial tax advice and validating this with local advisors.
Monitor compliance with international contracts.
Ensure that the group is fully compliant with all Transfer Pricing legislation and best practice and that the group is able to document such compliance.
HMRC reporting
Act as the key contact with HMRC and support in developing and maintaining this relationship.
Internal controls and process improvements
Work collaboratively with the finance department to ensure robust internal controls and reporting processes from a tax perspective.
Proactively monitor legislative changes, assess the impact on the group and propose and implement adaptation of systems and processes where necessary.


Qualified Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor with demonstrable corporate tax experience within the tax department of a General practice accounting firm and/or in a corporate group.
Proven track record of advising businesses on a variety of tax related issues.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, involving multiple teams.
Strong knowledge of international tax principals.
ACCA/ACA/CTA (or equivalent) qualified.
Awareness of UK GAAP and alternative overseas GAAPs.
