A small, independently owned, traditional insurance broker with a capable and experienced team are looking for another team member to join them and help with a growing business.

It is important that you can fit in to the established team and create a place of your own.

They are an extremely flexible company who can tailor the package to the candidate's needs.

Key factors for candidates are:

Excellent telephone manner
Experienced communication skills
Organisational skills
Complete responsibility for given tasks
Computer literacy – Office suite of products and general email awareness - essential
Internet trading – Using generic platforms to transact a variety of products - essential
Specific Insurance Software experience – We use Open GI but any system experience is desirable
Basic book-keeping/accounts knowledge desirable
Knowledge of Personal Lines Insurance desirable
Knowledge of Commercial Lines insurance beneficial
Basic experience of insurance claims desirable

We are of course looking for our perfect candidate, however, insurance experience is not necessarily essential. A good personality and communication skills with a reasonable outlook are far more important than specific experience which can be acquired on the job.

Must have office based experience and have excellent customer service skills/telephone manner.

Salary: £18k - £25k depending on candidate and their attributes/experience
Holiday entitlement: 20 days + bank holidays (can be flexible)
Working hours: Fairly flexible, can cater for 3 day, 4 day or 5 day week. Ideally full time.
