Technical Competencies
(Required skills)
• High standard of documentation & MS Visio skills for comprehensive Infrastructure designs
• Network Infrastructure design (LAN/WAN) and delivery solutions (ISA Server, Firewalls)
• Understanding of infrastructure topologies.
• Server Infrastructure (IBM, HP, Dell)
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate
• Enterprise Software (Veritas Backup Exec, Microsoft Office, Antivirus)
• Systems Management (Systems Centre: Operations Manager; Configuration Manager; Orchestrator)
• Web/Application Server (Exchange, Airwatch, Intranet\Extranet)
• Storage technologies (clustering, replication, SAN, NAS)
• Sharing and collaboration technologies (Lync\Skype for Business; SharePoint including SharePoint online, Office 365, or similar)
• Microsoft Active Directory Management plus DNS, DHCP etc.
• PowerShell scripting experience

Person Specification:-

• Must be able to work in a highly-pressurised environment and be in possession of multi-tasking capabilities
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivating and able to work under own initiative
• Good understanding of statistical and analytical principles and processes
• Good technical understanding and an ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easily understood business concepts and vice versa
• Attention to Detail – Proficient in applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked
• Decision Making – Proficient in making decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information
• Follow-up and Monitoring – Expert in checking progress against targets, reporting as necessary and taking action to resolve exceptions
• Interacting with People – Proficient in establishing relationships and maintaining contacts with people from a variety of backgrounds. Effective and sensitive communicator in different societies and cultures.
• Strong belief in customer’s satisfaction and business benefit driven solutions
• Patience, tolerance and resilience
• Good listener with the ability to apply the knowledge gained effectively
