The Big Give
Support the Big Give's Christmas Challenge and double your donation to charity
The Big Give's Christmas Challenge launches on #GivingTuesday allowing over 300 charities to double donations this #GivingTuesday
The Big Give was set up by Sir Alec Reed in 2007 and is a website which supports charities to raise funds. It has become famous for its match funding campaign, the Christmas Challenge, which is the UK's biggest online match funding campaign and has raised over £71 million for more than 2,500 charity projects since it began in 2008. The Big Give is generously supported by reed.co.uk which helps us provide a cost-effective service for both charities aiming to raise funds, philanthropists wishing to leverage their giving and individuals wishing to donate money online.
For the Christmas Challenge 2016, donations will be doubled for 72 hours from midday on #GivingTuesday (29th November). There are 332 charities taking part so don't miss out on the opportunity to double the impact of your donation to charity this Christmas by getting involved online at theBigGive.org.uk. With projects spanning everything from water and sanitation in Africa, child poverty in London, to the arts, education and more, you're sure to find a cause that inspires you to give. The campaign is aiming to raise £7.5 million over the 72 hour period.
In order to double donations, the Big Give has partnered with several ‘Champions' who have kindly contributed significant funds to the campaign. These are combined with donations from charities' key supporters to double donations over the 72 hour period. This year, Champions include The Reed Foundation, The Childhood Trust, Candis Magazine and The Postcode Support Trust amongst many others.
