Job Purpose:


The role and responsibilities of this Strategic Lead (Social Worker) is a key post shaping the vision and transforming services to facilitate a long term sustainable culture change in. Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide regular progress reports to Government bodies including the College of Social Work,Chief Social Worker, Cabinet and Scrutiny Committees as appropriate.
Lead on providing a ‘quality assurance’ role in terms of professional social work including chairing complex case work meetings where case work decisions are not clear cut.

To provide leadership and guidance to the Principal Social Workers in their service development role.

To provide professional support and supervision to senior social care staff within Doncaster Adults and communities and to have a lead role in ensuring that there are adequate opportunities for peer support and the maintenance of professional identity for those social care specialists working in multi-disciplinary teams such as mental health teams and one team working.

To take the lead role in ensuring that there are embedded and effective systems and procedures in place to ensure that adults are protected from significant harm.

To provide a social work perspective in partnership working, building appropriate links with partners.

To support the implementation of new ways of working from the social care re script for Adult Social Work Teams across Doncaster.

To lead individual complex cases where high level intervention is required.

We require a Support Worker with Older Adults for a Home in Doncaster.
The home is split into three separate units, two units caring for people living with dementia and is a rehabilitation service, 
It is for those who are recovering from a stay in hospital, getting over an illness or have a long term condition and are finding it difficult to manage every day tasks.
The Steps team can support people with things such as:
 building confidence
 maintaining personal hygiene
 meal preparation
 prompting with medication
 signposting to other services and support networks
I will be looking to source some support staff o a temporary basis to work from the 9th January and then for the next 12 weeks.

Requirements: Mon – Sun 8am- 8pm 2x 12 hour shifts £9 an hour
You be required to attend a 90 minute interview with myself and will have a DBS on the update service, or you we can process one at a cost of £44 (refunded after 100 hours worked) and per client request have worked with this client previously.
