Reed Education work with most secondary schools in Doncaster and can offer you a variety of teaching work to suit your needs.

• Day to day cover offers you variety as no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to teach in schools of all ability and expectation levels throughout the region, often being tested teaching subjects you may not have taught before.

• Short term cover allows you more stability if day to day doesn’t sound like the thing for you. Here you will be teaching your specialist subject at a school for a period of up to 4 weeks, lessons for the most part are pre planned, the expectation on you is to deliver the lessons and ensure the work is marked.

• Long term cover is closer to the role of a teacher as you know it. These placements are anything over 4 weeks and can last as long as a full academic year dependent on the reason for absence. There is a higher expectation on you to plan and mark but you will still have less pressure and expectation on you than if you were a permanent member of staff.

Supply teaching has changed significantly in the last 5 years in light of the rigours within the industry, supply teaching is an outlet for teachers who still have a passion for teaching but may have become disillusioned with aspects of it. We can offer you an alternative way of working.
