This Multi Academy Trust is rapidly growing, and they are re-shaping the way education is delivered to SEN EBD students. They are working very closely with Local Authorities across the South West to ensure those that are not able to apply themselves in a mainstream school setting still have an opportunity to access outstanding education.

Teaching and learning is delivered through a combination of classroom work and mainly “Learning outside the Classroom”. Students are given bespoke learning packages tailored to suit their needs and given the opportunity to access activities away from school, whilst engaging in the work that has been set. As such, days will be varied and interesting and whilst it will be challenging work, making progress with disengaged learners can be very rewarding.

Applicants should be experience SEN Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants, or have experience in a similar field such as youth work or social work. Ideally you will have worked with primary aged children before, but this is not essential. You should be able to display high levels of patience, persistence and determination to give the students every opportunity to succeed. You will need to have a genuine desire to see these young people do well.
