My client within the city of Oxford require a temporary Regeneration Officer to work within their Partnerships Team, carrying out regeneration projects, including but not limited to, organising and contributing to feasibility studies, procurement exercises, marketing activities and community engagement events. You will be tasked to oversee the administration of capital and revenue budgets (circa £1M) keeping accurate records of all expenditure and income. Assist the Regeneration Programme Director in all aspects of regeneration activities and carry our research into best practice and prepare reports.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

• To carry out research to inform regeneration programmes and projects producing reports and presentations.
• To support procurement activities including collation of bid material, preparation of evaluation materials and general contract preparation.
• To provide timely and accurate information, statistics and reports for senior management to facilitate planning and meet statutory obligations.
• To prepare maps, plans and visual material for projects using GIS, graphic packages, AutoCAD or similar software.
• Provide accurate management information reports internally and externally to the appointed auditors. Ensure processes are in place to deal with the timely placing of orders and processing of invoices.
• To co-ordinate the organisation of public consultations and community engagement exercises and events, including online. Manage consultation focus groups and liaison with special interest groups, monitor responses and provide feedback reports and presentations.
• To produce in-house or liaise with designers/printers to produce print materials (logos, flyers, leaflets, posters), ensuring all marketing material is delivered to a high standard.
• To organise events including multiple stakeholder sessions and quarterly meetings of key steering groups, and others liaising with external partners.
• To oversee the continuing development and day-to-day management of websites and to liaise with city Comms teams to content manage social media channels.
• To edit, produce and distribute newsletters in support the work of the regeneration programme writing articles in-house or soliciting them from other internal staff or other stakeholders where appropriate.
• To work in partnership with the comms team to develop media strategies and agree these with lead project members, promoting joint working and coordination across projects.
• To provide media monitoring reports and analysis of coverage of key regeneration programmes and projects.
• To manage small scale projects; planning, organising resources and managing budgets.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent in Town Planning or Urban Design. You will have experience in regeneration, demonstrating the ability to develop creative solutions and experience of working in partnerships with a range of agencies and stakeholders demonstrating political understanding and sensitivity. With experience of organising events and community events and coordinating consultations to progress key objectives and demonstrable exposure to Microsoft Project, desktop publishing programmes, GIS systems and Autocad.
