The role of a Recruitment Consultant within RSR is a professional sales role which can often be quite tough and demanding. For the right person, it is also very rewarding and exciting and can provide an excellent career as well as excellent earning potential. As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be involved in the following;

• Developing business with new clients over the phone
• Attending business meetings with new and existing clients
• Maintaining working relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities for further business
• Sourcing candidates to match your clients' recruitment needs
• Advertising vacancies in a professional and attractive manner, in order to find the best candidates
• Thoroughly Interviewing candidates and preparing them for interviews with your clients
• Negotiating offers between your clients and candidates

All job offers are subject to satisfactory references and compliance with vetting requirements applicable to the job role. Reed Specialist Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer. We offer a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria.

Recruitment Consultant

  • NOTTINGHAM, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
  • Permanent

£17,000 to £27,000 Per annum

The Role:
Whilst REED does have a strong presence in the area, we are still a new branch, meaning that in the short to medium term there is a large emphasis on generating new business.
We pride ourselves on giving better service than our competitors, the attitude therefore is not to make a quick fee and move on, but instead build lasting relationships with our client so that we can become a valued partner and have better involvement and deliver better results for them.
The targets are agreed with the consultant to ensure are realistic as well as being obtainable and ensuring we aspire to be as productive as we can.

This is not an environment where you are picked apart and micro-managed on KPI's. Instead these are laid out as guidelines to succeed.
Consultants that make a real effort to succeed always will, and will be rewarded financially as well as with career development.
As well as speaking to our clients and candidates as much as we can in order to be experts in our market, we would also like to be out and about as much as possible meeting with our clients. For me this is one of the most interesting parts of the role - Seeing a manufacturing facility first hand and really getting under the skin of what our client needs.

We believe in a healthy work / life balance and I would rather my team works smarter and more efficiently rather than working unnecessarily long hours.

The person
In our team we're looking for somebody who wants to succeed and isn't afraid to put the effort in to get there.
There is a strong trend within the business that the people who pick up the phone the most also make the most money.
A background in recruitment or sales would be an advantage. Experience working in an environment where the role at times can be repetitive and who will need to have a focused mind to appreciate what the end goal is and why you are putting the hard work in now.
