identification and management of business risks in respect of customer financial stability and adherence to Global financial and statutory requirements
o To drive efficient and accurate job costing in respect of cost accruals, customer invoicing and credit note management controls
o Assisting with as required the follow up on any outstanding and collectable debt and the resolution of issues negatively affecting a customer’s ability to make payments within credit terms
o In conjunction with the Air Product and Commercial teams, ensure that Gross Profit business reviews and reconciliations take place on a monthly basis to identify opportunities for process improvement, Gross Profit optimisation and improved
reporting accuracy

Leadership & People Development
o Set clear objectives, directly linked to the overall business strategy, and guide the team to achieve the defined targets and performance standards
o Ensure the Airfreight team is designed optimally, ensuring sufficient Organisational Depth / Span of Control and Succession Planning / Talent development & retention
o Build and develop a robust Airfreight team by identifying and recruiting the required industry best talent
o Promote skills development of the Airfreight team through robust resource planning and competency mapping
o Responsible for driving employee engagement and action planning within the Airfreight team

Required knowledge & Skills
Efficiency & knowledge of the industry
o Extensive leadership experience in a senior Airfreight Operations role in Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding / Logistics
o Exceptionally strong strategic planning skills with a proven track record in strategy development and implementation
o Extensive knowledge of Airfreight operations and Landside Services Products
o A good knowledge of BPI processes such as Six Sigma, LEAN etc.
o Expert level knowledge of financial management processes relating to job costing, credit approvals, invoicing, job file
profitability management and financial forecasting, reporting and budgeting
