Due to recent rapid growth in their market my client is seeking a new Maintenance Engineer to become apart of an innovative materials technology company who specialise in providing parts used within nuclear, space exploration and defence industries.

You will take responsibility for the overall maintenance of specialist equipment and machinery; fixing faults, recalibrating instruments, providing system installations and testing across the factory. You will also feedback on a regular basis assisting the Technical Director with reports and suggestions for continuous improvement.

The successful Maintenance Technician will operate days only - 37.5 hours a week - 8:30am to 17:00 am - MON to FRI

In order to be considered you must demonstrate:

• Experience providing reactive maintenance; repairs, calibrations and installations of equipment/machinery.
• Previous experience of Mechanical Assembling.
• Strong ability fault finding and solving problems.

The SERVICE ENGINEER will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical support of my client’s equipment in this FMCG MANUFACTURING PLANT. Working closely with the customer’s own team of engineers you will offer knowledge and technical support to ensure that the customer gets maximum efficiency from the client’s machinery.

The role also expects the engineer to become the eyes and ears of the design team in the field, feeding back information to improve the clients’s products and to maintain their hard fought position in the market.

In order to be considered you must be able to demonstrate:

• A qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering with PLC / automation skills

• A background in field service and the maintenance or servicing of machinery ideally within a FMCG environment

• Professionally presented and good customer facing skills.

• Drivers licence with no more than three penalty points

• Candidates with experience from within the packaging industry are especially encouraged.
