Purpose of the role:
Be the Force specialist in the management and co-ordination of business support provision and functionality within the People Directorate, which covers specialisms in Recruitment/Resourcing/Employee Administration/Learning & Development/Service Desk/WEB Portal, ensuring the most cost effective and productive approach is undertaken for each service.

Key Accountabilities:
• To develop a sound working relationship with TVP’s advertising agency to ensure that the common aim of delivering the most appropriate recruitment approach for each vacancy is met and that recruitment costs are contained within budget.
• To develop a sound working relationship with the business stakeholders
• To provide comprehensive adice and guidance on recruitment and learning administration matters in order to promote best practice in line with Force policies and procedures in accordance with Police Regulations and Police Staff terms and conditions
• To ensure the Force online recruitment system continues to improve the efficiency effectiveness and customer experience of our recruitment processes
• To manage the assessment and testing service, provide support and advice at all levels across the organisation and work in partnership with the College of Policing.


Essential skills and experience
Proven experience of Recruitment/Resourcing/Learning & Development processes with a requirement to develop a strong working knowledge of current employment legislation, Home Office rules, Police regulations and statutory obligations.
