Main Purpose of the Job:

- Deliver the BEST Growth Hub programme of business support in Essex.

- The post holder will be responsible for marketing growth hub services to businesses and relevant stakeholders. As well as liaising with businesses, diagnosing business issues and signposting to relevant business support services.

The role will also include liaising with local and national business support providers to ensure a comprehensive business support service is provided across the area. Alongside this, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with the Business Engagement Team Leader and colleagues to develop, manage and progress project delivery in Essex ensuring the agreed outputs and results are delivered on profile and to maximum benefit of the local economy.

Programme Activity includes the following;
• To promote the benefits and utility of the Growth Hub to individual companies and the local business and secure their engagement. This will be achieved through on-going proactive and reactive engagement thus constantly developing demand for the support available.
• To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with programme contractors and partners to ensure on-going delivery and a seamless customer journey.
• To liaise with complementary national Government programmes (DIT etc) to ensure cross referrals, excellent record keeping and a joined-up approach in delivery.

The post holder will also be responsible for identifying appropriate support for individual businesses from the suite available and to guide them through the process; be that grant application, innovation voucher application, identifying relevant events and workshops to attend or other related activity. As well as ensuring the web portal is up to date, accessible and well publicised.

Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation includes the following;
• To be responsible for excellent programme record management for each business engaged under the auspices of the programme and via the Growth Hub.

• To maintain robust records of outputs, results and match funding delivered by the programme.

• To monitor and report on the number of businesses accessing the website.

Alongside this, the post holder will liaise with national Government programmes for consistency of record keeping.
