Purpose of Role

Work within the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) Prudential & Regulatory Reporting team.

The team:

• Ensure that Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) capital and liquidity requirements are adhered to at all times, for all legal entities within the Bank Group.
• Ensure that reporting to Regulators is delivered in accordance with requirements (Bank of England, Bank of Ireland, Financial Conduct Authority, PRA, EBA).
• Prepare Bank Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) reports, and provide funding forecasts to internal Finance teams along with managing interest rate risk for the business.

The training course for this role will take place over 4 weeks, scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm.

The shift pattern for this role will be 35 hours per week, and you will be working between the hours of 8am and 10pm, Monday to Friday. Your shift will also require you to work one Saturday and one Sunday each month.

The start date for this role is 28 November 2016 and is expected to last for 6 months

The role:
In this role you will be receiving a variety of reports to be worked through, cross referenced against various source systems and then updated onto a system called CTCR.

CTCR is the system used to make submissions to HMRC under the Client Tax Reporting Regulations (FATCA / CRS).

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
• Manual entry of information onto the Client Tax Reporting tool so data accuracy will be an essential part of this process
• Checking of data on the legacy systems to ensure information is accurate and correct, providing feedback on issues identified both verbally and written on a tracking document
• Ensuring instructions and requests are correctly interpreted, fully owned and actioned
• Identifying opportunities to enhance existing working practices
• Ensuring any issues and queries are identified and escalated in accordance with procedures in a timely manner
• Delivering excellent service to all internal customers and stakeholders

Your Experience:
The role will suit you if you can demonstrate the following:
• Experience within financial services: (desirable, but not essential)
• Experience of reconciling and analysing data within a business setting.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems/software.
• Experience of using spreadsheets and excel functions including V look up.

Hours:
