My Client is looking for an experienced Developer in Test to join their Cardiff based Operations team during a critical period of growth!

You will be the joining the development team and an integral part of the development cycle, working on delivering quality assurance. This includes Designing, Developing, Executing and Reporting on test cases:

• Working with product owners and technical leads to review and set story and feature acceptance criteria for bespoke cloud based product
• Implementing business functionality in a testable form
• Performing manual technical quality assurance testing when automation is not appropriate or applicable
• Verifying that story acceptance criteria are met
• Ensuring new features are verified for both good and bad paths
• Showcasing completed functionality to project stakeholders and running knowledge transfer sessions when necessary with support teams
• Representing the Testing community on knowledge sharing, strategic improvements and process rationalisation
• Working with the development teams to improve and maintain regression suites

Essential: 

• Knowledge of using more than one automation framework – (C#)
• Knowledge of TDD (Test Driven Development), BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) and ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development)
• Good experience with testing REST APIs
• Good experience with continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Hands on .net/ c# skills
• Hands on SpecFlow or any other BDD/ATDD framework
• The development of test frameworks and test automation
• Working with a SQL and/ or NOSQL database (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, RavenDB, MongoDB)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1. Demonstrable expertise in designing, implementing, utilising and maintaining relational databases on Microsoft SQL Server. Experience of creating bespoke database applications, and demonstrable expertise in SQL.
2. Experience of performing Database Administration activities on Microsoft SQL server.
3. Knowledge & understanding of object oriented design, industry standards and best practice.
4. Demonstrable expertise in ASP.net C#/ VB.NET or other relevant object oriented programming language. Able to demonstrate professional knowledge within information systems and database development to give advice and guidance to internal and external customers (UML, AGILE etc)

5. Ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people
6. Evidence of ability to explore customers’ needs and adapt the service accordingly to ensure a quality service is delivered

Planning, Analysis and Problem solving

7. Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identifying and proposing practical solutions and resolving problems with range of potential outcomes
8. Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of key advances within information development and database development
9. Evidence of ability to work unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for own work and that of others and monitoring progress.
