How to get started
Gaining QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Fully qualified teachers from overseas can teach in England for up to four years before they are required to gain QTS. For additional information on what is involved in QTS assessment contact the Department for Education at www.dfe.gov.uk
Proof will be required to check your working status in the UK. Unfortunately we can't apply for a visa or permit on your behalf so please find some useful numbers below.
