Key Duties:

1. Support the financial controller in delivering the overall financial strategy

Location: Royston

The Shift Leader will be expected to provide effective supervision to a shift comprising of six production operatives to ensure a safe, professional and efficient team who are able to achieve department Objectives and KPI targets.
They will also be responsible for assisting in the manufacture of alloys for a variety of applications. They will utilise several hot working procedures to process ingots into wire and slug form in an area currently experiencing rapid growth.

Key responsibilities:
 Team Adherence to procedures, risk/COSHH assessments & PPE requirements
 Individual Operator efficiency, working on company business at all times, no loitering at shift commencement or handover, breaks and general time keeping managed to minimise disruption to production
 Metal movement: ensure the right metal is available for your shift. Ensure samples and finished products are transferred correctly in a timely manner.
 Allocation of work (including external departments e.g. Labs): Ensure efficient use of operative and machine time. Manage schedule adherence

Are you the ideal candidate?
Do you have;
 A good standard of education is required, including Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent.
 Significant working experience within a manufacturing environment
 Significant supervisory experience
 A technical GCSE or equivalent would be an advantage, but not essential
 Good mechanical aptitude

Shifts: Earlies (6am – 2pm) and lates (1:35 pm – 10pm Monday to Thursday and 1:35pm – 9pm on a Friday)
