Managed Service Experience
Examples of our Managed Service experience working for clients
Reed Talent Solutions manage three of the UK's largest outsourced temporary Managed Service contracts in the UK and over 60 managed service programmes in total with a combined spend under management of over £ half a billion.
Reed Talent Solutions delivers a hybrid managed service to a large UK bank. Our solution is a blend of off-site resourcing hubs and on-site service delivery with robust screening methods and bespoke assessment procedures. Our successful partnership with this Bank is now the largest managed service of its kind in the UK with an annual contract value of c.£250m. Since 2000, REED has placed more that 12,000 people into permanent employment, processed over 450,000 timesheets and delivered £9.2m of cost savings for this client.
Reed Talent Solutions delivers a Managed Service solution to a large UK logistics organisation. REED has developed this relationship from being a PSL supplier, to delivering one of the largest (by volume) managed service contracts in the UK, and providing graduate recruitment and other HR related services. This contract covers 7,000 locations across the UK with 420 key sites, each using a minimum of 20 temporary workers / day.
Supply chain utilisation
We implemented a contract with a large local authority based in London who had previously been working with a supplier under a vendor neutral arrangement. This meant that vacancies were being distributed to a supply chain of over 300 suppliers at any one time. This led to high levels of CV repetition, low levels of supplier engagement and poor quality candidates submitted with high levels of drops outs due to the 'fastest finger first' approach. In migrating the service to us, the client enabled us to analyse the existing supply chain to highlight areas of over supply and others of shortage, supplement any gaps through direct supply and propose an enhanced, streamlined and efficient supplier engagement model. This meant that the Council's requirements were more closely matched through the recruitment process and greatly improved the candidate experience.
Statement of Work
Our client, a multinational broadcaster, planned to set up a new mobile user-friendly web interface, allowing users to access radio and music content and stream it to smart phones. The product requirements were split into three distinct phases. We delivered all the specified functionality for each phase of work by employing a flexible delivery approach, mirroring our client's agile way of working. We also provided a method of handling a high number of blocked external dependencies from other client areas by using the standard SCRUM-based client sprint cycles.
Direct supply capability
Reed Specialist Recruitment is divided into over 20 specialist recruitment areas, which operate from both local offices and regional resourcing hubs depending on the distribution of particular skillsets. Expert consultants within each division use their extensive knowledge, experience and personal networks to generate talent pools of skilled candidates so that REED has the best available talent to meet clients' needs.
Managing large volume
We deliver an on-site solution to one of the UK's largest NHS trusts that has continuous requirements in excess of 250 contingent workers per day. This is delivered through an integrated technology module that enables managers across the Trust to quickly pass a requirement to the team who will liaise with our talent pool of pre-vetted and screened candidates to meet the requirement. This service involves the deployment of permanent staff to additional shifts, direct sourcing through the onsite team and delivery through a pool of framework approved suppliers.
