Special Educational Needs
Delivering education recruitment services with special attention.
We understand that outstanding teaching and support teams are critical to the success of pupils with special educational needs. Our specialist SEN/D consultants have in depth knowledge of this particular sector, which means we can provide the best possible standards of SEN delivery, and respond to changes in the SEN landscape.
As well as supporting inclusion within mainstream school settings, we work closely with alternative education providers, including PRUs, youth custody centres, hospital schools, special schools, the charity sector and the independent SEN sector.
We know how important the right education professional is to pupils with SEN, so we work to provide high quality, passionate staff at all levels, from the recruitment of permanent teaching staff, through to temporary Teaching Assistants to ensure that you have the right staff to support your pupils in the best way possible
Some of the roles we typically recruit for include:
- SEN Teachers
- Teaching Assistants
- Learning Support Assistants
- Learning Mentors
- Intervention Specialists
We also work with candidates with specialist training, including Makaton, TeamTeach, PECs and other skills, as well as specialists in areas such as ESBD, CSE, PMLD and ASD, MLD, SpLD, VI, SLCN and HI.
We can also help with non-teaching roles such as speech therapists, physiotherapists and staff with medical training, to ensure that we can support every child through their education.
The number of quality assured candidates on our database means we are able to supply staff for long term or day-to-day cover, on a supply or permanent basis, full or part time.
Supporting your pupils
We know that having the wrong SEN teacher or support worker can be disruptive. That's why we take the time to understand exactly what you need from your staff. We also invite staff to do voluntary assessment days to make sure they are suitable for your setting.
We know that finding qualified and experienced staff to support SEN students can be a challenge for many schools, so by getting to know your setting, we can support your requirements. Even if you need emergency cover at very short notice, we work hard to ensure that we can help you find qualified and experienced candidates.
We can also offer you advice on the changing education sector, including initiatives such as pupil premium funding, to help you support your students.
What our Schools say about us
"Lorraine has supported Headstart for the last year; providing a consistently high level recruitment service for us. She has demonstrated an excellent understanding of our school, and has been able to provide an accurate range of candidates to fit our campaign requirements.
Lorraine is always well organised throughout the recruitment process; keeping us regularly and sufficiently updated on any issues which may occur. She has been able to provide us with a strong calibre of candidates over the course of our partnership, and I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a consultant, and Reed Education as an agency".
