The mayor opened the Reed Specialist Recruitment office in Chelmsford, that will serve companies across Essex. The branch opening comes as the region saw salary increases of up to 9.5 per cent for roles across finance, hospitality and leisure, technology and marketing, during 2019 according to new data from the recruitment firm.
The opening of Reed Chelmsford by the mayor, now situated at 1-1a Moulsham Street, Chelmsford CM2 0HR, follows the specialist recruitment firm out-growing its old offices on New London Road, and the release of the Reed Specialist Recruitment Salary Guides 2020 which found that salaries across East Anglia grew by an average of 2.0 per cent last year.
This significant and promising growth is the result of high demand for talent across Essex in sectors including technology, construction, manufacturing, logistics, finance and marketing.
In addition, Reed Chelmsford has also announced its own expansion ambitions. The office plans to grow its team of sector specialist recruiters from 18 to 30 in the next three years and is taking applications now.
Mayor Bob Massey, said: “Reed Specialist Recruitment moving to larger offices and planning its own growth shows how Chelmsford is attracting businesses and creating jobs for people in the area. Having a firm that is synonymous with successful, satisfying careers invest in Chelmsford and its people is really good news and I’m delighted to open this new office.”
