Reed Group HR chief scoops top accolade

A REED HR expert received a top industry acknowledgement yesterday (Tuesday 17 September 2019).

Ian Nicholas, Reed Group's chief HR officer, was listed on HR magazine’s annual ‘HR Most Influential List 2019’, in recognition for pushing the field of human capital management forward.

When asked how he felt about being listed, Ian said: “I have worked in the HR profession for 26 years and am delighted. My thanks to HR magazine for this recognition – it was an unexpected surprise.

“I have always believed that people are at the heart of every business. More than ever, organisations are experiencing an ever-changing environment, and so understanding what motivates people to perform at their best has never been so important. Creating a culture where people feel that they belong leads to a prosperous business, especially when they truly believe in the purpose of their work.”

The UK-based list was set up in 2006 to recognise HR practitioners and academics that really make a difference to the industry.

Ian was named one of the most influential practitioners in the ‘support services sector’.
