What Brexit will look like is still uncertain… so what are the Government advising EU workers and UK businesses at this moment?
Brexit is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union that was legally scheduled to take place on 29 March 2019 but has now been delayed to at least 31st October. Leaving the EU means EU workers and UK businesses may need to prepare for change.

EU citizens currently living in the UK
EU citizens currently living in the UK need to apply for Settled Status or pre-settled Status. The scheme will open fully by 30 March 2019. The deadline to apply is 30 June 2021, or until 31 December 2020 if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. More information can be found on the Home Office’s website.
Government tools to help businesses prepare
The Government has created an employer toolkit, which contains the tools and information employers can use to support EU citizens and their families to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.
